Is Prince Harry a pioneer or a traitor? Well, that depends on to what principles you adhere. The Royals have always operated with the motto, “Never complain, never explain.” When you’re running a big business, it’s not a bad strategy. However, another motto is, “When you’re a pioneer, you sometimes come back with arrows in your back."
If you want to think that Camelot is filled with kings, queens, princes, and princesses, you don’t want your prince riding in on a white horse with shit stains running down the hind legs. You would probably want to keep believing in the storybook fantasy. The Royals have seen to it that the pristine image has served the UK well for a very long time - - until Prince Harry pulled the sheets back. If you want to know juicy details of the aristocracy, you probably like the idea that someone is finally talking about what goes on behind the castle walls surrounded by the moat of guardians of the image.
Many think that Prince Harry is a spoiled, privileged rich kid who, along with his wife, is having a tantrum and was willing to cut off his nose to spite his face. The family rupture is open wide for the whole world to see as a result of his ghost-written memoir, “Spare.” Others admire Harry for being open and honest about what transpires.
We may never know exactly what happened, but we know the whole world loves juicy gossip. That is evidenced by the fact that the book sold more than 1.4 million copies in the first day it was out, and viewers love The Royals, The Crown, the Oprah interview, and the multitude of plays that have been performed about the monarchy.
Whether Harry is a tormented soul, or someone who is taking advantage of the enormous amount of publicity generated by the controversy, or a knight in shining armor remains to be seen. In the meantime, we are all left gawking.
Will Harry and Meghan reconcile with the Royals? Will Harry attend his father’s coronation? Will Harry and William take part in a joust? Will Kate and Meghan have a mud wrestling match? It sounds like we need many more episodes streaming to keep us entertained and guessing. Don’t miss one episode of this action-packed miniseries!!
